Mobile phone explode

Everybody owns a cell phone. Not everybody use the original batteries for their phones. If you buy cheap and fake batteries you have the risk that the phone explodes in your hand. This happened to one man in Hong Kong and one man in Bangkok.  The Nokia 6150 exploded in the hand of a man. He was taking the phone out of his pocket because it was getting hotter and hotter. The man is treated in the hospital for his wounds. This is the third incident in Hong Kong in the last three months. According to the Australian Paper, The Sydney Morning Herald, all of the phone’s were making use of alternative batteries. The victim told the police that he purchased the battery somewhere at a shop on the street for half of the original Nokia battery price. In China, mobile phones are more often connected with personal accidents. Recently someone was using his phone while there was a storm and the lightning hit him. A professor of the Atmosphere Science Department at the University of Beijing confirms the story: “It can be really dangerous to make use of your phone when there is a storm with lightning outside.”The electro magnetic radiation of the equipment would be great conductor for electricity.http://www.webwereld.nl

A Bangkok businessman was slightly injured after his mobile phone exploded. Company executive Wichai Thongwiangchan, owner of the exploding mobile phone, was slightly injured on his hand.
“I was using a remote control to open the front gate. As the gate was closing behind me, I took my mobile phone from my belt, thinking the battery had run down.”
When Wichai tried to turn his phone on, it exploded into small pieces, spreading fragments over a circled area of three meters. The businessman said the main injury he suffered was to his hand.
“My hand would have been more seriously harmed without the leather cover on the phone. If I had used it (the phone) my ear would have been burnt,” Wichai said. Wichai said he bought the battery, compatible with his mobile phone, from a local shop.
Amnat, a mobile-phone shop owner, said it was not uncommon for mobile-phone owners to buy cheaper substandard batteries.

Hyves is growing

September 13, 2007 at 10:42 am (Connectivity)

Hyves Hyves is a really famous social network site in the Netherlands which is getting bigger and bigger. But there are some competitors.Myspace is coming to the Netherlands and opens a frontal attack on Hyves. MySpace wants to conquer Europe but is doing this gradual. The American site launched at first an European site in the UK where now a days 6.5 million people make use of. The question is now, is the Dutch Hyves, with almost 3 million Dutch users big enough to offer capacitance against the News Corporation of Rupert Murdoch, who is since July 2005 for 580 million dollar the owner of MySpace.
Hyves has of course a serious projection at the Dutch market compared to MySpace. Nevertheless a lot of the Dutchmen already have a MySpace profile.
To keep itself on the market, Hyves needs to do a lot of innovation with functionality and tools to keep it popular. The number of friends is for now the biggest strength of Hyves. MySpace must firstly build a substantial Dutch member file. It is the best for Hyves to make creating a membership less interesting at MySpace. The more friends and pictures you have on Hyves, the less you feel like changing your profile site.
But MySpace will work hard to make it self big!

Hyves seems to pass Google as most visited website. That becomes clear at least from figures of bureau Alexa. According to Alexa, de social network site Hyves often has more page views than the search machine Google. Hyves has daily about 1 million unique visitors and that are less visitors than Google has everyday. www.nu.nl
